The Lovin' Spoonful

Did you know that The Lovin' Spoonful were the band that creators had in mind for the show that would later become the Monkees? The Spoonful was a folk group from the 60's. The original members included Cass Elliot and Denny Doherty that later left and helped form "The Mamas and the Papa"s"! Did you know that when "The Grateful Dead" who considered themselves folksingers saw the "The Lovin' Spoonful" in the bay area they decide to become "electric". Haha. Wonder why? The Lovin' Spoonful is mostly known for "Do You Believe in Magic" which I hopefully will have a tape on here soon. Continue to check my blog for new albums!!
